Re-Imagining Virginia Communities

What kind of community do you want? Do you like yours just the way it is? Can you imagine something different for your city, your town, or your neighborhood? Have some ideas just what would make it better?

We may have many more choices than we realize. At least, that’s what community planners Andy Boenau and Fionnuala Quinn say.

With guest host Peter Norton, they’ll share their ideas and learn from yours.

Guest Host:
Peter Norton, Ph.D. - Associate Professor of History at the University of Virginia. Author of Fighting Traffic:  The Dawn of the Motor Age in the American City (MIT Press).

Guests:
Andy Boenau - Civil engineer and professional planner with  Timmons Group  in Richmond, specializing in working with local people to make communities more livable.

Fionnuala Quinn - Civil engineer and professional planner with Alta Planning and Design in Arlington, specializing in design for bicyclists and pedestrians.
