When Virginia's House of Delegates begins a new season of lawmaking next month, only 32 members will be calling themselves Democrats... the lowest number in modern times.
The man this super minority has picked to lead them is a former sociology professor from Charlottesville.
So what does David Toscano possibly think his party can accomplish?
David Toscano, J.D., Ph.D. - Democrat representing the 57th House of Delegates District, which includes the city of Charlottesville and portions of the county of Albemarle. New elected Minority Leader for the Virginia House of Delegates.
Richard P. "Dickie" Bell - Republican member of the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 20th District, including the city of Staunton, plus portions of Augusta, Highland and Rockingham Counties.
