Dyed By Her Own Hand

We meet Claudia McClean, who is the Claudia behind  Claudia’s Handpainted Yarn in Harrisonburg. She says that four words repeat like a mantra in her mind as she knits:  peace, love, comfort, joy.

And she hopes they somehow reach the wearer, "this is why I knit and dye yarns....  an almost compulsive need to make physical my feelings so that I may share them."

Her proudly woman-operated business has been going since 2005.
