What Do You Hide the Deepest?

Kept hidden, emotions and feelings can have a powerful impact on our lives.

And the emotion most people hide the deepest, according to many experts, is shame.

So just what is shame, why do we hide from it, and what might happen if we didn't?

Lennis G. Echterling, Ph.D. - Clinical Psychologist.  Co-author of the textbook Crisis Intervention: Promoting Resilience and Resolve in Troubled Times  (Merrill/Prentice Hall). Professor of Graduate Psychology and Director of Counseling Psychology at James Madison University. 

Bethany A. Teachman, Ph.D. - Director of the Program for Anxiety, Cognition, and Treatment Lab, as well as Associate Professor of Psychology, at the University of Virginia.
