How is thinking done?

You may have a whole new perspective on that, after we examine a new documentary about the life and work of celebrated thinker Gregory Bateson.

Guests:
Nora Bateson - Daughter of the late anthropologist and philosopher Gregory Bateson. Director and Executive Producer of a new documentary about her father’s life and work, An Ecology of Mind. Participant in an upcoming Symposium in Charlottesville that will feature her film as well as other guest speakers who have followed Bateson’s impact on society.

Stephen Nachmanovitch, Ph.D. - Charlottesville based musician, composer, improvisational violinist, and computer artist.  Author of Free Play: The Power of Improvisation in Life and the Arts  (Penguin). Former student of Gregory Bateson. Co-organizer of an April 10 - April 12 Symposium celebrating the life and work of Gregory Bateson.
