Barclay Rives describes his family as being on a riches to rags trajectory —he’s directly descended from politicians and landowners who were part and parcel of the Commonwealth’s Colonial History. Barclay recently published A Country to Serve, a biography of his many-times-over great grandfather, William Cabell Rives. The book, Barclay says was a twenty-year long labor of love —and research.
