Additionally, there are discounts and deals for Arts and Attractions, Sports and Recreation, Home and Garden, Green Businesses, Golf, Pets, Health and Wellness, Wineries and Breweries, and Bed and Breakfast Lodging. There are also exclusive Benefits of the Month. Your membership dollars help pay for the programming you enjoy, and our partners give you something back in return. It's a "win-win" situation for everybody. Just present your MemberCard & you'll receive a significant discount, usually 2-for-1.Are all of the restaurants 2-for-1, and how does that work?Check our restaurant listings for specifics on each restaurant's offer. Generally, when you order two or more dinners or entrees, the least expensive dinner or entree will be deducted from your check. You may use the MemberCard once at each participating restaurant. Simply present your MemberCard when paying your check to receive your free entree; the restaurant will mark out its assigned number on the back of your card.Are all of the attractions and events 2-for-1, and how does that work?Check our area attractions and events listings or those in your printed directory for details on each attraction's offer to MemberCard holders. You may use your MemberCard once at each participating attraction unless specified otherwise. Redemption for most attractions are made at the box office and are not available through TicketMaster or other third party vendors.What is the deal with B&Bs?About ten Virginia B&Bs and inns will give you a second consecutive night's free lodging. There may be seasonal or weekend restrictions at some places. One use of the MemberCard will easily exceed your basic WMRA or WEMC membership contribution.How many MemberCards may be presented for a group?Unless otherwise noted in the restaurant's offer, no more than three MemberCards may be used in any one group, and a different MemberCard must be presented for each free dinner or entree. The least expensive dinners or entrees will be deducted from your check.On what value should the tip be figured?For satisfactory service, please tip the standard 15-20% of the total check BEFORE ANY DEDUCTION IS MADE.Is the MemberCard honored on holidays or for specials?The MemberCard is NOT VALID ON MAJOR HOLIDAYS, including New Year's Eve and Day, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, President's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve and Day. Originally from Blacksburg and Roanoke, Scott has been a broadcaster for more than three decades. Starting in 1985 as a DJ at WSLQ/WSLC, and moving to the valley in 1989, his broadcasting career progressed through a variety of air personality positions including program director, morning show host, and play-by-play sports announcer. Scott joined WMRA as Sunday Morning Announcer in 2008. In the summer of 2015, Scott's service to our listening community expanded as he took on the role of Membership and Volunteer Services Manager.
