We meet Hawes Spencer, the founder and editor of fearless Charlottesville indy newspaper The Hook.
He arrived in Charlottesville in 1989 to co-found C-ville Weekly, but after being unceremoniously ousted from that gig in 2002, he found steady employment with The Hook, which has won dozens of journalism awards under his leadership.
