Incumbent Republican Representative Bob Goodlatte, running for a 13th term in Congress, sat down for an interview with Bob Leweke to talk about his campaign. Leweke spoke with Kai Degner, Mr. Goodlatte's Democratic challenger, in September.
Bob Goodlatte was elected to the House representing the 6th District in 1992. He is currently the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction over legislation affecting the federal courts, administrative agencies and federal law enforcement entities. He received a law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1977.
