Charlottesville Listener on NPR

Küñall
Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria's car moments before the fatal shooting which triggered the Great War.

Congrats to Heather McMann for an appearance on "All Things Considered" on Thursday, March 13, 2014. She was the first listener quoted by NPR (and the first one broadcast in her own voice) in Part IV of the series speculating about what would have happened if World War One had never happened. Her insightful reply is in the opening moments of the NPR story titled "A Farewell to Carrot Cake (And Other Things Lost Without World War I)" --audio is on NPR page.

Terry Ward was a WMRA producer and announcer from 1997 to 2016.
