Now in its eighth year, the Super Gr8 Film Festival has produced over 300 short films, all shot in the classic Super 8 format. The task is simple: each filmmaker is provided one roll of film (roughly three minutes of footage) and must shoot their scenes entirely in order with no edits. The final films are revealed in Court Square Theater over two evenings, where filmmakers can see their developed films on the big screen in the company of an incredible audience. Come both nights to see the films and cast your vote for Best Film, Best Visuals, Best Audio and Best Performance. Super Gr8 encourages all interested participants to sign up and allocates filmmaker slots on a first-come, first-served basis. These unique limitations help level the playing field, encouraging healthy competition and creative collaboration in our community.
